Alums, Hear the Call: Join the 1,000 Alums for $1,000 Club

Join over one hundred friends among the alumnae/alumni who have already donated or pledged $1000 or more to Now for the Future, the Campaign for Silver Lake.
Kicked off with generous donations by:
- David Hodges in memory of his father, Deane Hodges, the first Program Director of Silver Lake’s summer conferences,
- Campaign Co-Chair Rev. David Peters, and
- many others honoring Alden and Ruth Tyrol for their many years of faithful ministry as Silver Lake’s Director and Assistant
The momentum has been building! As of June, the Now for the Future Campaign is nearing its goal of 80% cash in hand to begin building the highlight of Phase I: a brand new mid-sized Retreat Lodge, adult and family-friendly with semi-private baths and bedrooms, and large gathering/meeting space with fireplace, of course! This will be built behind the current Retreat Center, which will be torn down (amid much fanfare and Alumnae participation in its demolition!).
Only $500,000 to go! Be one of the next 500 Alumnae in the 1000 for $1000, and together, we’ll make the dream come true.
Silver Lake’s facilities were built from a long tradition of giving: hard work, sweat, ingenuity and the devotion of many hands. It’s time to turn that tradition into a new chapter of collective effort and replace one of the hardest-used, well-worn and most needed winterized lodges, the Retreat Center, with something that welcomes all ages back to Silver Lake. With your dollars, prayers and enthusiasm, we can break ground in 2010, right around the corner.
